Price County is accepting applications for full-time Behavioral Health Services Social Workers within the Health & Human Services Department to provide support and services to families with children who have special needs. The position assists families in accessing appropriate services through collaboration with other agencies, community partners, and service providers, while also offering advocacy and family-centered support as needed. Work is performed in a combination of office, client home, and community settings and requires periodic after-hours, on-call services. Major responsibilities include assessing the range of services needed through interviews, home visits, collateral contacts, and other information-gathering methods. The position focuses on providing comprehensive case management, which includes developing individualized service plans, conducting plan reviews, and coordinating necessary services. This position works under the direct supervision of the Behavioral Health Services Unit Supervisor and the general supervision of the Health & Human Services Director.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), regular, non-exempt position with a starting hourly wage of $28.71 (Grade 8) and full benefits package. Minimum Qualifications for this position are:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
• Certified Social Worker or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
• Two years post degree experience working with target population preferred
• Experience and/or education in group facilitation and conflict resolution preferred
• Knowledgeable of Mental Health/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse including Wisconsin State Statute §51
• The ability to work a flexible schedule and perform after-hours services when needed or scheduled
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle insured to county-required limits

The selection process for this position may include an employment history evaluation, a personal interview, a pre-employment physical, including a drug screening, a Wisconsin Department of Justice caregiver background check, and the WiSACWIS background check.
